Stroke
The injury to the brain caused by a stroke can result in long-lasting problems. Some recover very quickly, however, some will need help with the majority of daily activities for years to come.
Stroke is especially difficult as it affects processes and functions the brain uses to process information.
Our carers are trained and equipped to deal with cognitive functions that are often affected: communication, spatial awareness, concentration, inability to carry out physical activities, such as getting dressed or making a cup o tea.
